Welcome to Wave!

Thank you for choosing to join the Wave SC community! We are looking forward to getting to know your family while providing your child with the opportunity to be the best soccer player and teammate they can be. 

Parent Meetings

Parent meetings take place 1-2x per year and are encouraged for all competitive families. Meetings will update the families on the current status of the club, communicate any upcoming changes, outline goals moving forward, and offer an opportunity for questions and feedback. We also use this time to celebrate our achievements and use parent feedback to improve our program going forward!

Checklist for Parents of New Players

PlayMetrics

Individual teams each have their own PlayMetrics page, managed by their Coach and Team Manager. You are responsible for:

  1. Accepting the invitation to join your team’s page
  2. Reviewing all messages sent to you from your team
  3. Marking your player’s availability for all team practices, games and events

Uniform Kit

The latest uniform kits are to be ordered from Planet Soccer. Uniforms are updated seasonally or yearly depending on the league, team, and tournament schedule.

Club Communication

Parents are responsible for staying up-to-date with club news by reading emails as well as visiting the WSC website and Facebook page. 

DIBS (Volunteer hours)

Competitive families are required to volunteer three (3) hours per player each year. Families not completing their DIBS requirements will be billed $250 at the end of the summer season. We greatly appreciate all of our parent volunteers – they are essential to the success of our annual tournaments as well as other club events.

Most DIBS opportunities are filled at the following events:​

  • Net Take Down (Late Fall)
  • Net Set-Up (Early Spring)
  • Uniform Try-On (Winter in Even Years)
  • Future Stars Tournament (May)
  • Refer a new player

All-family exemptions can be earned in two ways:

  • Serving on the Board of Directors
  • Acting as Team Manager or Tournament Manager for the Summer season
